Camping Residence Sagemuhle

Nice camping with luxurious sanitair. However the Premium Pitch is not a "meadow" as stated on the website. Actually it's a combination of gravel and grass. They have the gravel to avoid yellow grass when people leave the pitch. That could be a good reason to have gravel, but then the website should state that as well. Now it's misleading, do not expect that you will get a grass pitch. We solved this by buying a thick nylon sheet in order to avoid damage to our tent. But still, the gravel is not comfortable, especially not for the sleep area with inflatable beds. Except for the misleading information about the pitches, it's a good location for hikes, cycle tours and fabulous views. Finally, the personnel at the reception communicate a bit edgy, except for the young guy who is polite and kind.

Superb vacation camping place in Sub-Tirol. Camping Residence Sägemühle, staff was so helpful and accommodating during our 7 day stay. They went to the extent to allow us to move our camper to a different pitch to accommodated us with TV reception. And even then afterward, when asked for us to move our camper van to a pitch located directly behind us. They made this effortlessly so easy before us leaving the camp. If I could give them 10 stars I would do so!!!!! The camping place is located in a very convenient location...whether it be walking, biking paths or taking the bus or train to other near locations (attractions). Within waking distance in the main haupstrasse, you also had access to (groceries shops). Which made it very convenient for our 7 day stay. Can only recommend you visit to understand our thoughts! Headed back for another vacation there this year (2023) and the staff were "SO" helpful insuring, we got the same camping location we had back then...talk about great service! You have to admit...they "LOVE" making sure "CAMPERS" like us are "WELCOMED BACK!" a year later. YOU CAN'T ASK for more from a camping place like this!

Expensive. Misleading information about the sauna - if it is only one person they charge for two persons. The water-sprinkler right next to the premium places of the campsites is irritating in case you want to sit outside. No water is sprinkled onto the campground, but the resulting mist makes the air quite humid - 3 hours in the evening and 3 hours in the morning - some people like the sound of the irrigation system, I do less.... Hence I gave it a three star rating. One the first day when we were back from our holidays, campground immediately sent me us a letter, urging us to revise the rating. Unbelievable!
